Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few common questions that we hear from time to time. If you've got a question that isn't featured here, please contact us. We'd love to hear from you!

- How soon will my order be ready?
- We strive to keep a stock of many of our more popular colorways; however, there is always the chance we will not have everything in stock. In-stock orders will generally ship within 24 hours. If I need to dye a batch of yarn to fill your order, this will generally add about 48 hours to the shipping time. Once it leaves us, the USPS generally delivers US orders in 2 to 3 business days for priority, or up to 5 days for first class. Overseas customers generally will have their orders hit customs within 5 to 7 business days, but many times the orders are held up in customs (and, unfortunately, are outside our control at this point). Please contact us if you have a specific question about how soon your order will ship.
- I love a colorway and a pattern, but I'm not sure what yarn to use.
- No problem. Simply "Contact Us" and we'll be happy to help you select appropriate options of yarn to match the patterns we carry.
- I really like a certain colorway, but I wanted it with some pink (or blue,
or purple, or orange, or whatever) in it too. Can I get that?
Absolutely! One of the great things about being a small indie dyer is we can almost always work up a colorway that works just for you and your specific project need. Just ask!
- I have some other questions, can I call you?
- At this time, we do not have a toll-free number, but I am always happy to call you back if you leave me a contact phone number and a good time to call you, to further discuss your order.
- Can I really machine-wash your yarn?
- Yes, if a yarn is labelled as machine-washable, it is just that, on the gentle cycle. However, because of the hand-crafted nature of our products, we do recommend hand-washing to prolong garment life and color purity.
- Do you wholesale your items?
- Some yes, some no. It depends on the product. If you would like to discuss possibly carrying our products in your store, please ask!
- I really love your subscription clubs, but it looks like they are all sold out!
Can I still order these kits?
Our subscription clubs are currently sold out for 2008, and while we will not be offering these exact kits in terms of colorways and/or custom-spun yarns, we will be offering the patterns as stand-alones, and we will be selling the kits with slightly different yarn or colorways several months after their original release date as stand-alone kits.
